Steps to Check Your UFS Application Status
- Visit the UFS Self-Service Portal: Go to the official UFS application status page at myapplication.ufs.ac.za.
- Sign In:
- Username: Enter your UFS student number.
- Password: Your initial password is typically your date of birth in the format YYMMDD (e.g., if your birthday is 24 June 2006, your password is 060624).
- Navigate to Application Status: Once logged in, go to the “Student Services Center” and click on the “View Application” link to see the status of your application(s).
Important Information
- Credentials: You should have received an application acknowledgement email or SMS containing your student number and login details after your initial submission.
- Communication: The university will primarily communicate updates regarding your application status via email. Monitor the email account you provided during your application, or your official UFS student email account (ufs4life) if one has been assigned.
- Status Meanings: The status might appear as “APPL” (Application received and under assessment), “COND” (Conditional Admission), “ADMT” (Admitted), or “DENY” (Admission Denied).
- No Telephonic Status: UFS policy generally prohibits disclosing application statuses over the phone.
