As the 2026 academic year approaches, the University of Zululand (UniZulu) is preparing to welcome both new and returning students through its structured registration process. Whether you’re entering university for the first time or continuing your studies, it’s essential to be ready and informed to ensure a smooth registration experience.
Key Registration Dates
First-Time (New) Students
-
Applications: Opened early 2025 (typically March – April) and run through October 31, 2025 — some courses may close earlier due to demand.
-
For some programmes, the application deadline may extend slightly (e.g., November 30, 2025), so it’s best to apply early and avoid missing out.
Returning (Senior) Students
-
Registration period: 2 February 2026 – 6 February 2026.
Returning students must complete their registration within this window to secure their modules for the academic year.
UNIZULU Online Registration 2026
Registration for both new and returning students is done online through the UniZulu student portal:
-
Visit the official UniZulu website and go to the Student Zone → Registration 2026 section.
-
Log in with your student number and PIN (new students will receive these once their offer is firm).
-
Follow all steps to confirm your programme and modules.
-
Print your proof of registration — you may need this for administrative or residence purposes.
Tip: Ensure your mobile number and email are up to date in the system because UniZulu uses these to communicate important registration updates.
Requirements Before You Can Register
Before finalising your registration, make sure that:
